Rodeo Drive Recap

A WAYI race winner last year when she took down the Spinster (for the Distaff), Juddmonte's homebred Emollient (Empire Maker) this year has won a WAYI race. This time it's the Rodeo Drive in a race that was marred by Moulin de Mougin (Curlin)'s spill (rider Mike Smith would be okay and ride in the Awesome Again and she as of this time of writing has no reported injuries). Parranda (English Channel) was second and there was a dead heat for third between Rusty Slipper (Lemon Drop Kid) and Irish Mission (Giant's Causeway). The winner was ridden by Rosie Napravnik and is trained by Bill Mott.

Out of the mare Soothing Touch (Touch Gold), Emollient has earned $1,350,400 with her record of 17 starts 6 of those being wins, 3 seconds and 1 third.

Emollient has now earned a spot into this year's F/M Turf.
