Spendthrift Farm's Beholder (Henny Hughes) will not be defending her Distaff title due to an elevated temperature according to the DRF. She is scheduled to be sold at Fasig-Tipton the week after the Breeders' Cup.
This is the second major defection in two weeks with the injury to Wise Dan forcing him to miss his try of three peating the Mile.
