Breeders' Cup runners disappoint on Derby day

Although last year's Classic winner Bob Baffert won the Kentucky Derby with scratched Juvenile favorite American Pharoah, it was a rough day for those who ran in last year's Breeders' Cup. F/M Sprint winner Judy the Beauty was beaten in the Humana by Dame Dorothy, while Classic winner Bayern went down to defeat by Private Zone. Carpe Diem and Upstart who where 2nd and 3rd in the Juvenile finished 10th and 18th in this year's Derby. 5th in last year's Juvenile Mr. Z was 13th.
