The older girls of the East Coast are back in action on Friday in the Personal Ensign. Lets take a look at this year's field:

Antipathy (A.P. Indy): Won the Shuvee and 3^rd in the Phipps. Those are her only stakes tries, but she is a ½ sister to a G1 winner. Other then the Shuvee, has one other start at Saratoga which was a 5^th place finish in her debut.

Stanwyck (Empire Maker): 2^nd in the Shuvee, and 3^rd in the Apple Blossom. 5^th in lone Saratoga start here last year, but that was on turf. ½ sister to a Kentucky Derby winner as well as another G1 winner.

Majestic River (A.P. Indy): 1^st start at Saratoga. Won the Molly Pitcher and Lighthouse in her last two. 7^th in lone other stakes start last year in the Sunland Park Oaks.

Fiftyshadesofhay (Pulpit): 4^th in the Clement Hirsch and 3^rd in the Flur de Lis. 2^nd in last year's Alabama, and won the Ruffian earlier this year. 3^rd behind BC Distaff winner Beholder in last year's SA Oaks.

Belle Gallantey (After Market): Suprised many with her win in the Delaware Handicap and was 5^th in the Phipps. Lone other stakes try was 3^rd at Hastings in the Fantasy. Had been going between the claiming and allowance races before the Phipps.

Close Hatches (First Defense): Winner of the Phipps and Apple Blossom. 2^nd in last year's Distaff. This will be her first start at Saratoga.

Princess of Sylmar (Majestic Warrior): 2^nd in both the Delaware Handicap and Phipps. Won the Coaching Club and Alabama last year, along with the Beldame before a bizarre last place finish in the Distaff. Adds blinkers for this race.
