TCA, Breeders' Futurity and Turf Mile Recap

Melnyk Racing Stables homebred Leigh Court (Grand Slam) overhauled the leader Stonetastic (Mizzen Mast) to win the Thoroughbred Club of America Stakes. Southern Honey (Colonel John) split Leigh Court and Stonetastic to finish second. Gary Boulanger rode for Josie Carroll. The winner was Canada's top 3yo last year.

WinStar Farm and Stonestreet Stable's Carpe Diem (Giant's Causeway) certinally seized the day in this year's Breeders' Futurity. Mr. Z (Malibu Moon) was second and Bold Conquest (Curlin) was third. John Velazquez rode the winner for Todd Pletcher.

The first million dollar race at Keeneland had a wild finish which ended with the King retaining his throne.
