Race Recap: Takarazuka Kinen

He was the fans choice as the top vote getter in Takarazuka Kinen voting and lived up to the billing. Eiichi Kobayashi's homebred Gold Ship (JPN) (Stay Gold (JPN)) defended his title in the race with Curren Mirotic (JPN) (Heart's Cry (JPN)) was second and Verxina (JPN) (Deep Impact (JPN)) finishing third. Ridden by Norihiro Yokoyama and trained by Naosuke Sugai, Gold Ship has not lost at Hanshin where the race was held since the start of his career.

Out of the mare Point Flag (Mejiro McQueen (JPN)), Gold Ship has 19 starts with 11 wins, 2 seconds and 1 third with earnings of about $12,554,044.93 US.
